……. Jai Sanatan ……..
….. Jai Umiya Mataji …..
The first Sanatan temple of Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Patidar Samaj is the temple of Shri Satyanarayana Bhagwan at Dayapar.
In Dayapar, Shri Satyanarayana temple was established 98 years ago on 20/05/1923, when the Pan Murti (image) of Shri Satyanarayana Bhagwan was established, which has been worshiped for six years. The elders then built a temple in the main chowk of the village.
Construction of the temple was started on 13/11/1928 and with the hard work and dedication of Sanatan family, a beautiful temple with four slopes was completed in six and a half months at a cost of 200 koris.
Ordered the idol of Lord Satyanarayana for the temple in Karachi.
That marble idol of two and a half feet was brought by the sea from Karachi (present day Pakistan) to Lakhpat port, from there our elders brought the idol with bare feet to Dayapar without keeping it on the ground on their way back. The route was from Zoli (Kawad) to Lakhpat to Dayapar and from the 200th day of construction of the temple i.e. 03/06/1929, (Savant-1985 Vaishakh Vad Agiyaras) Shri Naran Raiya Limbani and Matrushri Jan Bai Naran Limbani performed pranapratishta, The rituals of the pranprathista of Shri Satyanarayana was performed by Bhatt Mulji Walji of Kothara and Pranajivan Shastri of Bhuj.
